21 Creative Marketing Campaign Ideas for Small Business

  1. Print your logo on tshirts and use them for giveaways.
  2. Establish your business on social media.  Choose which one(s) work best for you then create your accounts. Post and engage!
  3. Place your social media information on business cards.
  4. Regularly post information about your business on social media; accomplishments, upcoming sales, events, etc..
  5. Engage with your followers. Social media is "social", so make sure to say, "Hi" or, "Thank you" to your followers.
  6. Volunteer at a local charity event.
  7. Make your business cards interactive by placing QR Codes on them so that, when scanned, lead people to your website or a video about your product or service.
  8. Send handwritten "Thank You" notes to customers.
  9. Do a giveaway on social media for people who follow and mention you.
  10. Make your flyers interactive by placing QR Codes on them so, when scanned, they lead people to your social media page such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Linkedin. 
  11. Sponsor an event.  Make sure to sponsor a service that the event needs that is aligned with your products or services.  This will help to reduce costs since it is something your business provides.
  12. Make Youtube videos promoting your products.
  13. Host a class at your local library.  This will allow you to educate your audience on your products and services offered by your company.
  14. Write a blog!  These are a great way to educate your audience and share information about your business or the products you offer.
  15. Start a podcast.  This is also a great way to market your business.
  16. Send your story to the press!  They are always looking for the next big thing.
  17. Attend local networking events.  These are great for meeting people in your area and you may form new connections that help to grow your business.
  18. Host a webinar where you educate the audience on a topic that related to a product or service your company offers.  Make sure to promote your upcoming webinar on social media.
  19. Do a paid search campaign. This can be costly, but effective.  It may be best to have someone with experience or hire an agency to do this for you.
  20. Create and use a hashtag that you use when posting on social media, for example, #ctamarketing, #mondaymotivation, #triviatuesday.  This will help to build your brand on social media.
  21. Do a "challenge" where you do something, like a random act of kindness for example, and challenge others to do the same.  Promote the challenge with a hashtag on social media.  Make sure to include a hashtag so it can be identified easily by you and those who see or participate in the challenge.  So, for example, for random acts of kindness, the hashtag could be, "#randomactsofkindness" or "#thekindnesschallenge"
