Girl, it’s like Nike, “Just do it!” Personally, I find writing and working home better, a lot easier. I relax when I can, I write whenever I can. It helps me to gather more info concerning my characters. Lastly, do not stress!!

I put on music and drown out all the background noise, so I can focus on my writing. To me, the key is to get into the character’s mindset… however you do that best, whether music or some other medium.

I’ve downloaded an app to switch off all my other apps for periods of time. Then I try to focus 20 minutes at a time. I bought ear defenders. I think I might ditch the smart phone for a couple of weeks. I’m really really trying.

I’ve been working at home for years. I grew up in a large, dysfunctional, chaotic family so tuning things out and focusing is second nature for me. But when I find myself being too distracted (especially by Twitter), I make a to-do list.
